Leaves of Dreams - Light Leaves Experience

The team behind the Leaves of Dreams concept are taking their first steps on the road to their dream - a 24/7 bookshop, art gallery and gaming centre, with a cafe area for customers, focusing exclusively on independent creatives - and are running their first "Light Leaves" experience.

This will be run as an online event, through the Leaves of Dreams Facebook page, from 7.30am GMT Friday 28th August straight through until 9.00pm GMT on Sunday 30th August.

Those selling work will be posting links and photos, doing video readings, and posting excerpts, as well as generally chatting, and we at Wolfsbane Press will be running several competitions over the period, including a flash fiction competition.

Authors already confirmed are Wolfsbane Press's own Ashley Cliveson, and Drive Thru Fiction's V.J. Bartlett, author of Return of a Nagus.

To register as an author, artist or games designer interested in selling your work during the event (no commission or listing fee!) simply head over to the Leaves of Dreams Facebook page, and drop them a message,

If you're interested in attending as a potential buyer - just show up!

Welcome to Wolfsbane

Wolfsbane Press is an independent press, specialising the fiction genres of Steampunk, Gothic, Victoriana and Urban Fantasy, non-fiction books on the subjects of Esoteria/Mind, Body & Spirit, Transgender, Feminism/Women's Studies, and BDSM (no pornography or "Fifty Shades", please), as well as poetry collections and art/photography books.

As well as traditionally bound books, we can also do hand-bound and "art book" work - this works quite well for short collections of poetry, for example.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

Please ensure your novel/book/collection meets at least one of the categories outlined above; anything falling outside these categories, unless it is specifically identified as "cross-genre", with an aspect that would appeal to us, will be sent back unread.

We accept submissions by email or hard copy - email submissions as an attachment (.doc preferred) to wolfsbanepress@gmail.com, with the subject line of SUBMISSION:TITLE:YOURSURNAME, (eg, SUBMISSION: IT WAS BLUE: SMITHSON) and include full contact details.

For hard copy submissions, please send to Ashmor House, 265 Raglan Street, Lowestoft, Suffolk, NR32 2LA, marked "FAO Wolfsbane".

For fiction submissions, we would initially ask that you send the first 3 chapters. For non-fiction submissions, please send a detailed synopsis, and an author CV.

For poetry, art, and photography submissions, please send all pieces to be included, and 1000 words about yourself.  For art and photography, please submit images by post, and ensure you have copies yourself.

All submissions, whether hard copy or email, should be double-spaced. Poetry and artwork/photgraphs should be sent on/as individual pages.

FEES:

Wolfsbane Press DO NOT CHARGE for publication.  Authors receive 50% of all royalties.

Wolfsbane Press offer a read-through/critique service, for which we charge a fixed, one-off fee of £25 per submission. For this, you will receive full, detailed feedback, and, if we don't feel it meets our list, suggestions of other publication routes to try.  If you are interested in our critique service, please submit as for a standard submission, but add "CRITIQUE" to your email subject line, or "FAO Critique" to the address on hard copy submissions.

Wolfsbane Press can also provide reliable factual information in the following areas, from personal lived experience, and professional knowledge:
. Transgender Issues
. The BDSM Culture
. Paganism
. Christian Spirituality

We charge a one-off Information Request fee of £10, or authors can register (for as many categories as they like) for an annual fee of £50. Information Requests are only handled by email, at wolfsbanepress@gmail.com; please enter REQUEST as your subject line.

We also offer a comprehensive fact-checking service across all areas, the fee for this is £20, or FREE for our authors.
